You may help the OIG improve management and eliminate fraud by providing information about allegations or suspicions of fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, misconduct, or unnecessary government expenditures. You may contact the OIG using any of the following methods:

What NOT to Report to the OIG
The following matters are generally not investigated by the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) Office of Inspector General (OIG):
- 911 emergencies
- EEO complaints
- Misconduct by state and local police departments
What TO Report to the OIG
You may report waste, fraud, abuse, or misconduct relating to a USCP employee, program, or contract to the OIG Hotline.
The USCP OIG also has jurisdiction to investigate allegations of whistleblower retaliation involving:
- Employees of the USCP
- Employees of USCP contractors and subcontractors
This form should only be used to submit complaints of waste, fraud, abuse, misconduct, or civil rights violations by USCP employees. Please Note: The online complaint form is the most efficient method for submitting complaints to the USCP OIG Hotline.
